Summer Damon joined Oceans 8 Films in 2008, as the production manager for SoLa a documentary about Louisianans and the story of their backyard, their waterways, their fights and issues. Since then, she has played a pivotal role in producing several documentary films, including What Would Darwin Think?, and Terra Antarctica, which one Best Ocean Issues film at the Blue Ocean Film Festival.

Prior to Oceans 8 Films, Damon was the lead assistant to Revolution Studios NY head, Elaine Goldsmith Thomas, where she was part of the production team for films Little Black Book and Perfect Strangers. Damon was also a tape producer on Good Morning America, and assistant to Academy award-winning actor Tim Robbins.

In addition to filmmaking, Summer holds a degree from The French Culinary Institute and has worked with the culinary teams of some of New York’s best restaurants.
